Fast Traffic Generation For Your MLM Business

The following tips are essential in fast traffic generation viz:

The bum marketing strategy: Bum marketing involves the use of articles to generate traffic. These articles should be on the area of interest such as travel, health and tips, forex, hyips, and so on. These articles must be original and should also be submitted to article directories for indexing. This sounds cumbersome but the benefits are great. The use of keywords and paragraphing should not be neglected.

Forum strategy: This simply entails creating a forum on the area of interest or expertise. You can also employ the use of search engines to find similar forums on your area of interest such as mlm, forex, hyip, health, travel, sports and so on. You should try to find out the active forums, sign up and participate in their forum trends. You should also leave a link to your blog, website, or affiliate programmes in your forum signature.

A webpage is needed. The webpage enables you to introduce yourself, business and expertise. Also put into consideration the needs of your readers and post regularly on your webpage. Post informative and educative contents on your webpage and get massive traffic for life.

Join blog communities such as blogcatalog, hubpages, mybloglog and so on. Follow the trends in such communities by doing the following: registration, uploading of photographs and banners, writing of profiles and participating actively in group discussions.

Utilize search engines. These have the ability of generating massive traffic. You can also make use of tags or keywords; check your ranking through the use of sites such as Alexa.com. You need to also filter your tags and constantly update the content of your webpage so that visitors to your webpage can find your site interesting, educative and informative.

The use of free and paid classified adverts should not be neglected. There are lots of sites where you can place free adverts or pay for your adverts. Examples include linkreferral.com, yahoo.com, msn.com, tao01.com, ablewise.com, warriorforum.com, and so on.

Make use of trade links. The use of trade links is also a good strategy for traffic generation. If you have a webpage with good content, you could persuade other webmasters to trade links with you. The secret to achieving this is to visit other websites and networking groups, send out personalized emails to the webmasters requesting them to link to your webpage.

Giving out free reports and stuffs is a fast traffic-generation method. These could come in various formats such as ebooks, downloads, ecourse, coaching, subscription, tutorials, templates and so on.

These methods are effective and result-oriented. They generate massive traffic non-stop.

There is a Different Way Then MLM

The big secret in my opinion (and others) to earning big money online is what is called “Residual Income” or “Passive Income”

Now many people have been introduced to Residual Income through mlm or network marketing. Personally, I am not a big fan of mlm, in my opinion I don’t believe you should have to pay someone to be in business and have to buy products or services every month that you don’t need or may not want in order to get your paycheck.

However, I am a fan of the concept of residual/passive income that’s promoted when people are offering their mlm business opportunities.

So what is residual income or passive income? Well simply put it is selling something once and being paid for it over and over again.

So how can you earn residual income and not get drawn into an MLM business? Easy, you can earn the same residual income that MLM’ers earn through Affiliate Marketing.

When you think about it mlm/network marketing is really affiliate marketing. The difference between mlm/network marketing is with Affiliate Marketing it costs ZERO dollars to get started and you never have to pay anyone anything to stay in business.

It’s the marketing of the affiliate program itself that costs money, and the money an mlm requires you to pay each month so you can stay in business can now be used to market your affiliate program. So you are already a head of the game financially, you are not paying to stay in business then paying more to market the business.

And the big upside (for me anyway) you never have to call or talk a single person in order make just as much or even more then a person in mlm.

There are thousands of Affiliate Programs that have residual income opportunities. And these opportunities are through membership sites. Just like the gym membership that requires the member to pay monthly dues. So do these affiliate programs that represent membership sites.

Promote any affiliate program that requires a monthly fee and you are on your way to earning residual income. As long as that person is a member of that particular membership, you are paid.

You can make some serious money this way. Here’s how; if you get 30 people paying you one month one, and you get 30 new people paying you in month 2. Not only will you be paid for the 30 new people you are also paid again from the 30 first people.

And so on and so on, your income compounds. So you can see the power of this check out the chart below, this is based on a residual income of just $30 per month. It could be more or less but this will give you the idea of the power of residual income.

1 sale per day = $900
Month 2 = $1800
Month 3 = $2700
Month 4 = $3600

And this is for just one program. You can market as many as you like, I know of one fellow that markets 143 different programs. I’ll let you do the math on his income.

Ok, where do you find these membership affiliate programs? There found at Click Bank or Commission Junction just to name a few.

I personally use click bank to find my affiliate programs, and I only promote affiliate programs that offer residual income.

If you don’t have a click bank account it is free to open and you can get there by clicking here www.clickbank.com

Let me give you a short tutorial for finding these money-making programs. When you enter the back office of click bank you will see at the top of the page a link called “Market Place”. This is where you can do a search for these programs.

Now choose a category, for this example lets choose Money & Employment. Now choose a sub category, let’s choose Home Business, there are several sub categories to chose from. Now enter some key words, so let’s enter Make Money Online.

Ok now you have to sort your search. This is where you can get different results because you can sort by Popularity, High Gravity, Low Gravity, $ Earned/Sale, % Earned/Sale, Future $, Total $ Sale and % Referred.

When I do my sorting I check these three sorts; Popularity, High Gravity, and Future $.

Now you must pick the product type, you can choose from All, Standard Billing and Reoccurring Billing. Choose Reoccurring Billing.

Pick your language, simply choose All, and then hit “Go” the results of your search will appear.

Now it’s time to do some research. And Click Bank gives you the info you need when choosing a program. It is listed below each result.

In addition if you know of a company you can also type in that companies name or program into the keywords field and if it is in the click bank system it will appear.

Ok let’s say you have no clue what to look for, but you do know you want to represent programs that offer people the ability to make money online. Simply type in the keyword field Make Money Online and review the results.

Affiliate marketing is one of the fastest and cost effective ways of earning a full time income online. If you have been thinking of a way to earn a passive full time income online try affiliate marketing.

What you Should Know To Find the Right MLM

A typical mlm opportunity seeker strives to be successful with multi level marketing by making a list of names consisting of friends, family, and day to day contacts. There is a stigma about MLMs because just about everybody has been approached by an enthusiastic mlm opportunity seeker one too many times. How do MLM distributors cut through this stigma?

First off are you selling network marketing or are you selling a product that truly benefits the end user? If you are an MLM opportunity seeker you can determine the answer to the above question by asking yourself- Why is the company selling their products through direct marketing and not the normal retail way? Is it because they are selling a higher quality product that wouldn’t make it on the regular market because the price would be out of reach for the bulk of consumers? Is that a bad thing? I don’t think so. Often times a network marketing company helps bring quality products to MLM opportunity seekers because they give the people the ability to earn the money beyond the costs of the products. Hopefully well beyond the costs of the products. If you feel your company is selling a product that is of little value to the consumer than you are definitely in the wrong MLM “opportunity”.

Now determine if the MLM company you’re a part of is providing the product at a reasonable price. Well what is the mark up? Is the markup to pay 6 levels of people below you more than the normal retail markup of other products. I say that if the products are marked up more than %50 of the the wholesale costs, than it is a rip off. You have to get into a marketing company that is for real and is providing a true value.

You have to get into a company that is selling products by direct marketing for a reason other than the primary goal of making money. Some MLM companies are approached with unique opportunities by manufactures of unusual quality. The reason being is that the manufacturer does not want their product to be “watered down” to accommodate the high profits retailers demand by lowering the quality of the product. They use network marketing as a means to get a quality product out in it’s full effectiveness by using a marketing system that allows the consumer to hear the full story on the benefits of the products. That is how many network marketing companies get people to sign up. They offer exclusive products that yield terrific results. These are the companies that you should be a part of. The ones that don’t just claim to have a great product.

Now if you are part of a network marketing company that sells something that resembles cool-aid or something like that then run for your life. I think that is a no brainer. You are selling network marketing and quick cash, not a product that is highly beneficial to the end user. Also if you are part of a network marketing company that is selling a product you can go down to Costco and pick up for half the price, than this is another reason to run from it.

No matter what business you are in, if it doesn’t benefit the end user than it is certain to fail down the road. And what happens when a network marketing company fails after you have spent years building a downline? That’s right, no company, no down line, no money.

Online MLM Business: Follow The Money Online

Changing to an online mlm business has become mandatory for current and indeed new mlmers... to achieve business success! This 'shift' in business style has set this industry up for a rosy future!

New Direction--Modern Technology--More Success!

Web 2.0 has been behind the changes and advances in internet technology. The ability to be interactive in website content of blogs, YouTube pages, Squidoo lenses, Hubpages, forums, the mini-blog sites and all social networking sites... has had a huge impact on internet marketing and by default all businesses capable of operating online.

An online mlm business is ideal for this new interactive style of marketing. Forget about 'old model' network marketing hassles... and reach out to vast numbers of people online. You only need a fraction of one percent of those you reach to be interested in your online mlm business. However your success will depend on your choice of multi-streams of income and relevant content information for your site-visitors! Over-deliver... by giving your site-visitors a rewarding experience... and the financial rewards will flow!

Your Website Business

The best approach to an online mlm business is to have a content website that is keyword-focussed and theme-based. You can operate without a main website by just using blogs and other free interactive tools. However I believe, you'll do much better to have a large information based website... linked to your blogs, articles, YouTube pages, etc. Internet searchers want real relevant information... a website can be hundreds of pages of information. Your website theme needs to be related to your online mlm business product.

On your website you will benefit immensely from having a subscriber-box for a regular newsletter. The site-visitors who subscribe to your newsletter will be interested in your website theme information. A newsletter allows you to provide further fresh information on a regular basis. Also in time... as the level of 'trust' rises... you can successfully recommend your mlm business and other website products.

Your mlm business remains your primary business. The newsletter is a channel for your interested subscribers to put their hand up, if they want to learn about your online mlm business! Also by linking to your blog... interested commentators will ask for further information. You can have a subscriber-box on your blog and squidoo lenses as well.

In regard to how you refer to your mlm opportunity online... the best approach is to have a 'generic' website. No need to mention the registerd company name or the product tradenames. You can do this at a blog. The idea is to maintain an independent website business and derive income from multi sources!

Your Multi-Streams Of Income

An important part of an online mlm business is having several income streams. You can have a blog linked to your website, that tells people how great your mlm business is... and people respond in various ways, that's good stuff! At an information website... based on quality information... you can't expect people to join you in an mlm business on their first visit. People don't do that online or offline without a level of trust.

With that in mind and wanting to earn something from as many visitors as possible... and in the best internet marketing tradition... you have product links that targeted site-visitors may be interested in. This contributes to your cash flow and allows you to 'fund' your marketing. There are thousands of affiliate programs, products, ebooks, and software available where you can find theme-related products to market at your website business.

The good news is that there's no fee to join affiliate companies... they need you! Affiliate digital programs pay up to 75% commission and hard goods products pay down to 1% of the item sale price. The affiliate company deals with the product publisher or merchant and supplies the affiliate with links and commission payment. All you do is provide product information and usually an incontext text link to the publisher/merchants promotional website. That affiliate link will be embedded with your affiliate ID number so the company knows who to pay.

Another income source that you can have in your online mlm business is to sell advertising space. Google and many other search marketing groups pay by the click on ads placed on your webpages. You do have some control over what type of ads are used and you can generally place 3 ad blocks per web-page. This can amount to a large income source.

Your Online Centent & Interactive Marketing Methods

A combination of content and interactive methods is the best way to complement your content website. If your content website provides good quality relevant information... it will generate good natural search traffic! By using other content/interactive methods... you will multiply that natural search traffic considerably! Learning 'how to' blog, set-up squidoo lenses, hubpages, record videos and create a YouTube page, write articles and press-releases... are all part of creating a successful online mlm business. Resources are available to learn 'how to' use all the above. Indeed it is essential to take the time to master each one of the above marketing strategies. Used to there best effect... they are very valuable in a any website business! Ebooks and video tutorials that show you click-by-click 'how to' do many of the above are available. An online mlm business owner using these marketing tools, properly search engine optimized can be confident of a successful website business and therefore success in mlm!

Conclusion

Everyone in business needs an online presence today! Creating an online mlm business where the mlmer is in charge of a website business... is truly independent network marketing. The 'key' to current day internet marketing is the power of social interaction and video marketing! Writing about your subject in an article or website is good if the content is relevant to what the surfer or site-visitor are looking for, however showing and talking about it on video has more impact. Therefore the combination of content information and video... is a winner! Spreading that information about is easily done via social sites.

These tools can be powerfully used in an online mlm business. Consider that 100,000 people sign-up at Facebook each week and 70 million people watch YouTube videos each month, as well as 5 million people viewing Squidoo Lenses each month. There's more but... you get the idea... social interaction is exploding! Online success is about being where the people are... people are going to papers and magazines less and less. Apparently people are viewing TV less... and the internet more! Must have something to do with all that video-viewing going on at YouTube!

You have to recognize that marketing to one billion plus internet users is far superior than what you'll find in 'old model' mlm. Taking the time to gain the knowledge in 'how to' use these internet tools should be uppermost in the mind of anyone looking to do online mlm business today!

MLM Lead Generation, What The Guru's Aren't Telling You

If you’re going to be a success in your MLM it is going to be necessary that you have a fresh list of MLM leads on a daily basis. This means that you need to be able to get past your family and friends. A fresh lead is a lead that is only a couple of hours old.

A fresh MLM Lead will produce a positive result. It is a lead that wants to know more about your MLM and is willing to listen to what you have to say. These are the type of leads that you should be focusing all your efforts on.

The real trick is just learning how to generate these fresh MLM leads on your own. One of the worst moves that new MLMers do is buy a list of so called “real time” leads from a lead generation company. In most cases that lead are a couple years old and has no clue that they’ve requested information about your MLM.

There are a variety of different ways you can generate these leads without paying for them. One of my favorite ways to generate Fresh MLM leads is by writing articles. Article marketing allows you to distribute your articles all over the internet allowing people who publish ezines to use them. Every article that you publish will have a backlink on it to your website or capture page. And one of the best things about writing articles to generate your MLM leads is its free, just a little time consuming.

Pay per Clicks is probably the most used form of advertising done by the guru’s to generate 1000’s of leads. For most of you Google Adwords is the most sensible place to start learning advertising. Now there are other places you can go such as Yahoo, or Clickriver, but Google allows you to manage your campaign in real time, allowing you to generate the highest quality MLM lead.

Pay per Clicks delivers the freshest of the fresh leads. However Pay per Clicks is just how it sounds, it’s not a free service, but if you can understand Pay per Clicks then there is nothing that can stop you from generating 100’s of leads within your first 2 months.

By learning how to generate your own high quality fresh leads for your MLM you are giving yourself a huge advantage. It’s like the old saying “give a man a fish and he’ll feed himself for a day, but teach a man how to fish and he’ll feed himself for a lifetime”. In order to succeed in MLM you most turn the game around and become the hunted instead of the hunter.

Well it’s like I said in the opening paragraph. If you’re going to be a success in Network Marketing it is imperative that you learn the skills you need to generate your own fresh high quality MLM leads.

MLM Recruiting, Are You Making These Mistakes

One of the biggest issues with MLM is trying to recruit new reps into your organization. This whole ordeal can be one big pain, especially if you’re new to MLM. MLM recruiting is not difficult to master if you have an action plan already set in motion before you ever call your lead.

If you can follow these simple guidelines then you will dominate the phones and be an MLM recruiting machine.

Don’t be needy. This is a common mistake new reps make when trying to recruit for their MLM. Most new reps are petrified of going out day after day trying to generate new leads, so every lead that they currently have they hound.

Know this, I man or a woman of high value are comfortable with who they are as a person and where they are at in life, they convey a sense of abundance. If you are emotionally attached to each possible MLM recruit then the recruit will pick up on it and see you as a person of low value.

If you demonstrate to each new prospect that yourself value is higher than theirs, then you will attract prospects to you, which in turn will have propects begging you to sponsor them.

In past articles I’ve shared some of the biggest secrets when it comes to generating 100’s of leads, if you’ve put those tools into play then you should already have an abundance attitude.

“He who cares least always wins”

I’m sure that you’ve all heard this statement before. I live by this statement. Let me ask you something. What role are you playing with your possible recruits? Do you care more than they do about whether or not they will join your downline?

If you have this kind of an attitude when you’re trying to recruit someone your lead will see this as a weakness. I’ll it tells your lead is that you need them in your organization. You can’t recruit anyone acting like that.

Listen folks if you truly want to become the master at MLM recruiting then you need to become a master at learning. Knowledge is power in this industry. If you can become the guy/girl that knows how to generate 100’s of new leads everyday and can master the art of attracting people to you, then who wouldn’t want to be recruited by you.

If I was in your shoes and we have all been there. If you’re having trouble recruiting or generating leads or whatever, then I would look at putting a system in place that generates, and qualifies the leads before you ever speak with them.

Make yourself a leader by having the knowledge you need to succeed in MLM. Once you have the knowledge then prospects will be begging you to recruit them into your MLM.

The ABC’s of Network Marketing Success - How to Make Money in MLM

So, you've joined a network marketing company, have you? Maybe you spent days or weeks (or longer) researching the company, its products and its compensation plan. Or maybe you just fell in love with something and jumped right in. In either case, here you are. Now the question is - can you make any money at it?

97% of those who join will never make a profit. What distinguishes the other 3%? Are they brilliant sales people? Just lucky? No, they've got their ABC's down. Learn your ABC's and join the 3%.

A is for ACTION.

You've got to take action to sponsor new members and customers. You don’t have to get it exactly right. It's not the "perfect presentation" or the magical website that does the trick here. Yes, you should be constantly working to improve your skills. But if you wait till you're sure you've got it right, your business will stall out. Spend at least an hour every day taking action to build your business. (OK, 6 days a week will do). That's in addition to the time you'll spend on your own learning and development. Surfing the web for new info doesn't count; calling prospects does. Listening to an audio lesson doesn't count; responding to email inquiries does.

Pick a path and work it consistently. You can take the friends and family route, the internet marketing approach, or the purchased leads tactic. Any of these can work. But you have to work it consistently with discipline and persistence. Don't expect instant results. Network marketing isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. At least not with the reputable companies. It's a work hard, get paid forever business.

B is for BUDGET

Your upline is pretty unlikely to tell you to be careful about how much you spend. But having a budget and sticking to it is essential. Know how much you can afford to spend each month until you start making a profit. Let's say it takes you 90 days to build enough of a business to get steady checks coming in. How much can you spare each month for those first 3 months? Know that number and don't go beyond it. Piling up credit card debt is generally not a good start for a new business.

Similarly, you want to budget your time. Don't neglect your commitments to your family and your "day job" while you're starting your business. The first couple of months you may want to spend more time on the business. You're excited and you've got a lot to learn. That's fine. Just make sure that you work it out in a way that won't mess up your life.

C is for CONTACTS

You gotta have people to talk to about your business. Network marketing is all about relationships. You can start with family and friends. You can generate leads on the web. You can buy leads. All of these are ways of identifying people you can talk to about joining your business. There are pro's and con's to each approach. Often a blend of two strategies is best.

Remember that a large majority of the people you talk to won't be interested in joining your business, no matter where you got the lead. That's fine. Don't take it personally and don't try to twist their arm. Move on to the next contact till you find someone who sees the goodness of your opportunity. Then work with them to become successful.

D is for DISCIPLINE

In your Action, your budget, and your contacts, be disciplined. If you jump from one thing to another or fail to take action for days, your business won't grow as fast (or may not grow at all). If you want to have new people joining your business on a regular basis, you've got to be disciplined about how you work your business. Track your goals, actions, and results. Keep your contacts organized.

Set weekly targets for your business-building activity and track how you do against those targets. Do a review at the end of the week, then set targets for the next week. Hold yourself accountable for doing what you plan to do each week. Consider telling your upline what you plan to do so you feel accountable to them too.

Pulling it all Together

These 4 principles - action, budget, contacts, and discipline - will help you move to profitability more quickly. Once your business is making more than you're spending on it, you're in. Now you're one of the 3%. And more importantly, you can afford to stay in while you build the wealth you're seeking!

MLM Downline – How to Add 20 to 30 People A Week Into Your MLM Downline

There are hundreds of network marketing companies out there and all of them teach the same techniques to grow your business and mlm downline. Making a list of your friends or family, passing out brochures, the 3 foot rule, doing 3 way calls to your up line, purchasing expensive opportunity seeker leads, inviting to hotel meetings, etc. The worst part is that they tell you that all you need to do is fine 3 people who will find 3 who will find 3 who will find 3 and your mlm downline will make a 6 figure income.

If you've been in network marketing for a while, you already know these techniques don’t work and just end up making you broke. Many people don’t enroll a single person into their mlm downline using these techniques. The only successful thing you end up doing is getting bumped off the free family dinner list. Today and in future articles I’ll show you how to really grow and explode your mlm downline and do it quickly.

There are people in various MLM companies right now ranging from nutrition, telecom, travel, etc using the exact same techniques that I’ll be teaching you and adding 20 to 30 people a week into their mlm downline. Sounds unbelievable don’t it?

Oh, and just so you know, adding 20 to 30 people a week into your mlm downline means not a 6 figure income but a 7 figure income. I hope this doesn’t disappoint you. So let’s get started.

The first thing you must know right from the beginning when trying to build your mlm downline so that you don’t grow gray hair is DO NOT lead with the product and not the opportunity opportunity. Leading with the opportunity and a concept is taught by almost all network marketing companies. The reason you don’t lead with the opportunity is because this causes people to join your mlm downline and pay for the products monthly only because they are required to and they’ll try really hard to grow the business and after continuous failures, they quit in about 3 or 4 months.

What this means for you is that your constantly on a tread mill because as fast as you can enroll new associates into your mlm downline they are dropping off just as fast which is a perfect recipe for gray hair. What if 15 Qualified MLM Prospects Called You this Week?

Would that help your network marketing business? I think so, don't you?

First things first:

A) Who is your target Market?

1) Business Builders

a) People who already buy or use your product or service, or one just like it ( ie Network Marketers, or future existing customer base)

b) People looking to start a home based business (Biz opportunity seekers)

c) People actively seeking info about your specific opportunity( looking for successful team, system, etc)

2) Product Customers

a) People who already are buying or using a related product or service

b) People with a problem who are looking for a solution

c) People looking for your specific product by name

B) Bring People into Your Pipeline...Your Marketing System

Learn how to Build your core asset - Multiple Lists that includes all that do NOT buy or sign up immediately... this is 90% of all 1st time visits to your ads...do not waste these leads

a) Start to Advertise to one (1) of the target markets above, first, then you can grow later ( Free or Paid)

b) Capture Name and Email of visitors to your ad. (Your Own Capture Page is Mandatory)

c) Educate, and build a relationship (Need an Autoresponder to automate , and send broadcast Emails)

d) Retail a product or service related to your target niche (Test low cost items, info products to build trust)

e) Backend/MLM Promo (Upgrade size of sale, course, MLM product, autoship etc)

f) Residual Income (This is the extra cash, your primary business opportunity)

Trying to email individually will bury you the more successful you get. Trying to start out recruiting to your MLM directly will likely frustrate you, and probably NOT be profitable for a long time

You will notice I never mentioned advertizing your business directly. This is all about marketing your core asset....YOU.

You will waste your time and money sending traffic directly to your company provided website.

You might get an accidental customer or request for info, but you have no idea who actually goes to the site, or how many, well you get the idea, right...

Think of your business as "YOU, Inc", with your MLM as just a single part of "YOU, Inc"

MYTH #1: You have to be a computer expert.

Not so, there are some basic skills but they are all learnable.

Can you type, and use a word editor?

If so, there are lots of free tools to get you started.

Just like you, when I started out 5 years ago trying to do exactly what my MLM uplines taught me. I was a good student, calling my warm market, making a list of everybody I know, pounding the phones with lists, buying leads, geneaology lists, attending meetings, conventions, etc etc.

But in my heart I knew I wanted to build my business on line with todays technolgy, and most if not all, MLM companies do NOT teach how to do that.

I hope this helps you in your thinking about your MLM ( Network MARKETING).

The name says it all

MLM Training - The Secret to Being an MLM "Natural"

Saying the right thing at the right time with prospects can either make you a lot of money or cause you to lose money in your network marketing business. Continue reading to learn the MLM training techniques I teach my downline of 56,000 people so they know how to become a "natural" when talking with prospects.

In this article I am going to take your MLM training to the next level when it comes to effectively communicating with your prospects. That next level is for it to become "natural" to you as you speak with people about your MLM business opportunity.

There are several definitions for the word natural and it is very important that you know which natural I'm referring to.

1. Not acquired; inherent; born with. THIS IS NOT THE NATURAL I'M TALKING ABOUT.

2. Free from artificiality, or inhibitions. THIS IS THE CORRECT ONE.

Definition one is referring to something that one is born with such as blue eyes, seven feet tall, etc.

Definition two is that you can rattle off your address without thinking about it. Natural, as in the way you know a favorite song. Or something you've said or sung many times.

Okay - so how is it you know your address? My guess is, you moved in, you got your address and you had to do an address change with the post office. You pulled out the piece of paper your new address was written on and you reference it several times to make sure you wrote your new address correctly. Then you wrote it on a FedEx envelope and remembered it all accept the zip code - hmm, is it 92105 or 92150? You find out and now you have it.
If you never wrote it again you'd perhaps forget it again, but if you use it frequently you "just know it" - and you are certain you know it.

By the way...how is it that you know that the name goes on the first line, street address on the second and city, state, zip on the third line? That's the formula it goes in...right?

For inviting, to be natural and sound natural you must smoothly and correctly transition from one part of the "Inviting Formula" to the next. By the way, the "Inviting Formula" is taught in great detail in a CD set I authored called "Professional Inviter," but for reference in this article the Inviting Formula is:

Greet
Qualify
Invite
Handle any Questions/Objections
Close to Action
Follow-up or Follow through

So when you're talking about your MLM business or a product you offer, the trick to being a "natural" is to know exactly when to transition to the next step in the "Inviting Formula." Like from Greeting to Qualify.

When you don't greet long enough, you don't get a prospect who will give you their need/want. Greet too long and your prospect feels you're wasting his time and will hastily get off the phone with you.

You have to recognize the exact moment when the prospect qualifies for your MLM business opportunity. Example: When the prospect says, "I'm sort of sick working for someone else." When I hear this I know they qualify to be in my business.

Or, if you're listening to see if the prospect qualifies for your MLM business and the prospect says, "I don't remember signing up for anything; why are you calling me !$&*$!" - then I know they just disqualified themselves from being in my network marketing business.

To truly be an MLM natural, you have to know the rest of the Inviting Formula and know when to make the transitions, but the good news is that the others are much easier to recognize compared to "Greet" and "Qualify."

If you can master learning when to transition for "Greet" and "Qualify" you will really be able to tell a difference in your ability to have meaningful conversations with prospects about both your network marketing business or your products or services.

So just how do you get good at these transitions?

Two ways I know of:

1) Invite over and over until you can "sense" it. Like letting the clutch out on your car - the first few times are rough. I recommend you drill the "Invite" for MLM business prospects and then drill the "Invite" separately for product or service sales. I don't recommend you invite your prospect to look at your business and your product/service in the same conversation.

2) Another way is to listen to someone else do it and then model what they do because very often prospect's responses are similar.

To help you learn how to make the transitions and what to listen for I have provided some sample transitions below, along with each step of the Inviting Formula. These are transitions I especially listen for when I'm trying to determine if the person qualifies as an MLM business prospect.

1) Greet - Get someone who will talk freely and openly to you.

Example transition: "Yeah, I requested more information because I'm looking to open my own business and I'm just looking around to see what's out there."

2) Qualify - Find out their needs/wants/don't-wants (as it relates to you business).

Example transition: "Well, I just know there's more out there. I'm sort of sick of working for someone else. I just want to be able to enjoy my life without always having to punch the clock."

3) Invite - Based on relevant information gathered in Qualify.

Your prospect doesn't have to give you any information here. But, depending on how they respond to your invite will decide if you move straight to "Close to Action" or if you do Step 4.

4) Handle any Questions/Objections - Handle the things that are stopping them from getting what they've stated they need/want/don't-want. Remember, your business or product/service MUST be a solution to the person's need/want/don't-want.

Example transitions: After you've handled an objection and they use words like, "Yeah, I can see that." "Yeah, that makes sense." "Hmm, I've never thought of it that way." "Well, it's really not a big deal to me...I've just heard that."

5) Close to Action - Create agreeable steps to move them towards getting them what they've stated they need/want/don't-want.

Example transitions: Anything that indicates they need to get off the phone. "I need to be hitting the sack." A child trying to talk to them. "It's been good talking to you."

6) Follow-up - Re-contact them to determine their interest level as it pertains to your MLM business or product/service.

Example transitions: Anytime they suggest that they can't talk right now. Or if you've closed to action. "Now's not a good time." "You've caught me at a bad time."

Warning! Buying MLM Leads Can Be Hazardous To Your Pocketbook

The information in this Report could make or break your chances of success with your current company.

In MLM or Network Marketing 1,000's if not hundreds of thousands of good faith independent MLM reps have been miss-informed and miss-trained on how to build a successful MLM business.

When a new person enrolls with a MLM company one of the first things that they are asked to do is to make a list of everyone that they know or knew in the past and come up with a list of 100, 200, 300, or even a list of a 1,000 names of people that they can contact about their new home based business opportunity.

This is usually an over whelming task and most people start getting discouraged about this before they even get started.

The other problem with this is, that most people getting into a MLM home based business have never had any business experience before or had any training in marketing that will help them to know how to properly approach these friends about a home based business opportunity.

On top of that, the person who recruited them may be in the same position (untrained) and this person is expected to help them make calls to their list to help recruit them.

This starts a No Win situation and both people usually get frustrated and drop out of the business. Does this sound a little familiar?

For those who survive this part of the process and eventually stumble through their list, usually embarrassing themselves in front of their friends and family, what do they do next after they run out of friends and family to call on?

Well of course, they start looking for ways to buy opportunity seeker leads, opt-in MLM Leads, phone verified MLM leads, area code specific MLM leads, TV generated MLM leads, and so on.

Great Idea..... or Is It?

Well, if you love to:

-spend your hard earned money and not reap any positive results

-make calls for hours on end instead of spending time doing what you want to do

-talk to people who filled out the form that were looking for an hourly job instead of a business,

-talk to people who have No ambition and No money to invest,

-talk to people who actually filled out the form because it promised a FREE I-Pod if they did,

-talk to people who want you to do all the work for them if they get in,

-spend more money on leads then you'll ever make with your business,

Then MLM leads are exactly what you need to be using.

If you don't like these results, keep reading, there is a solution.

The only people who really benefit from these leads are the people generating these mlm leads and then selling them to you.

I know, you've heard the stories of the guy who bought these leads, made the phone calls and Whamo, he ends up recruiting KING KONG and makes a zillion dollars, but that doesn't happen very often.

If you don't learn to work this business smart and learn the actual techniques that the Top Producers use, the chances of making it big in this industry are about as good as you getting struck by lightning.

I know you hear the stories of some guy who gets into the business and WOW in 2 months he made a $100,000. I can guarantee you that the story behind the story is that this guy spent years perfecting his recruiting techniques and spent years building a list of loyal followers that when he found this great new business he was able to immediately contact his established list and because they trusted him and are convinced to move on the opportunity quickly, BOOM he builds a huge group super fast.

I know, you want to believe that will happen to you, but you need to do some planning and work first. If your not willing to put in the time, work, planning, and massive action it takes to succeed in this business or any other business, you might as well give up now and get a job.

But, if the dream of residual income, complete time freedom, quitting the job you hate, and living the dream you've been hearing about is something you have a burning desire for, the only reason you don't have it now is because there is still something you need to learn.

So, make the decision to educate yourself about this industry.

MLM Training - When to Develop Multiple Streams of Income

I've made millions in network marketing, I've made millions through investments, and I've also lost a lot of money too. Profit from my mistakes and learn how to best invest the money you make in your MLM business.

Network Marketing professionals often ask me how to manage the profits earned from their MLM income.

Can you make more money by diversifying into investments such as stocks, bonds, real estate, etc., and have your money working for you in other areas besides an MLM business? Or would you make more money by really focusing and investing your money back into your MLM business?

There are three items to think about when answering this question for yourself.

A. What else would you do with your time?

B. What else would you do with your money?

C. What else would you do with your attention (definition: the ability or power to concentrate mentally)?

Every investment (stocks, bonds, real estate, your sister's business) requires that you learn about it. And just the learning costs time and attention. And it is the using up of your attention that rarely gets factored into the "diversify your money" advice.

Probably what's most important here is, the greatest amount of money you will ever lose, is that amount you will never make because of misuse of A, B, and C from above.

I was listening to a radio talk show about 10 years ago and the advice given was to "Select the top three stock market sectors based on trends. Put one-third of your investment capital in each. Wait 10 years and you should be wealthy off your passive investments." I was making about 50 thousand dollars a month above my expenses - so I thought, "Why not?"

I chose the following sectors: Health Care, Technology, and Telecommunications. After losing about half of my money I changed to three different sectors. I looked at my portfolio today and I have lost another $11,848.78.

Don't get me wrong; there have been times I've made over $50,000 dollars in the stock market in a day. Fun! And there have been times I've lost $150,000 dollars in a day. Not fun.

In addition to that, I've spent an enormous amount of time on my "passive" investments. Many hours (per week) have gone into "pondering" (wasting item C from above) what the stock market is going to do next. Reading newsletters, magazines, newspapers, watching the stock market news and commentaries on TV. And still my return has been negative.

The only thing that has remained very stable and predictable is my network marketing income. Had I taken the same amount of money, roughly $500,000 and invested it into promoting my MLM home-based business would I have had a greater return? Yes.

So what about the "Rich Dad Poor Dad" philosophy of "Buy assets that produce more income?" Or the more common way it's stated, "Create multiple streams of income?"

As you may know, I created a prospecting tool based on that philosophy where I explain to prospects how wealth is created by investing in assets. So I'm very close to this subject.

However, if you listen closely to the way I stated it in the online movie, I say, "So what are assets? Well the most obvious ones are: stocks, bonds, real estate..." Then I say, "...education and businesses." And to that I'm referring to educating yourself about businesses. Whether that be your MLM home-based business or your pinball machine business.

Two common mistakes in making decisions on A, B,and C from above are:

1. Making decisions based on now vs. decisions based on future. Of course you need to pay your bills now. They're screaming at you! But keep in mind what I talk about in Brilliant Compensation - it's not faster (in the long run) to tie your young son's shoes than teaching him how to do it himself. If you tie his shoes for him you silence the screaming urgency, but you're still stuck with the job UNTIL you teach him to tie his own shoes. When you make financial decisions make sure you're looking at the long-term. Residual income that can be generated from an MLM business is sweet.

2. Making decisions based on "could you" instead of what you "will you" do with your time, money or attention. Example: A guy determines that it's a poor use of his time and attention to mow his own yard, so he hires the boy down the street to cut his grass. Now, what does he do with that extra time (A), and the extra attention (B)? He watches TV. Bad choice. When he was making the decision to hire the lawn boy he thought, "It's a waste of my time to mow the grass when I could be doing more important things like building my MLM business." Make sure when you free up any of the three resources you use them wisely.

Summary: My personal opinion is invest your time, money and attention into KNOWING your MLM home-based business and getting really good and profitable at it. Find and study MLM training that is proven and effective, and master it.

Continually reinvest your profits back into your network marketing business by promoting it more, that's where the high return is. When you have a surplus of income, buy a secure investment like Treasury Bills until you're ready to learn another business FULLY. By business I'm including all investment activities as well. Then focus your time, money and attention (from the surplus only) on knowing THAT business.

From my experience, diversifying my money has done nothing more than dissipated my focus, which has in turn lost a lot of money, time, and attention.

Would You Buy Your MLM Product?

Strange question, huh? But, the point I’m trying to make is that many times we start our business life with a poor impression of ourselves. And, when we start in a state of failure guess what happens? We fail! Before we can expect anyone to join our team or purchase our product we must think that we and our business are worth someone’s time and money. If we don’t think it then we can’t expect a customer to think it’s worth it!

My challenge to you today is to to answer the question, “would I buy my product?” If you can’t answer that question with an outstanding YES then you either need to fix your product or stop selling it altogether and find something else! Now let’s say that you DID answer “YES, I would buy it!”. The next step is for you to spend every spare minute learning about your product or service.

What is its purpose?

Who does it serve?

How does it help them?

When a prospect asks what you do how will you answer that question?

What e-mail message will you send?

What will you say over the phone?

When they say ‘it’s not for me’ how will you respond? Will you respond?

This starter list of questions MUST be answered if you expect to win the race. You will face opposition and you will have “down” days. But, it’s up to you to get through those times and live to fight another day. If you prepare now before you face the opposition you will be in a much better position to survive. Trust me on that!

Your MLM Dream of Profit put into True Perspective

The MLM Industry is characterised by massive failure rates and financial losses for millions of people and the 'dream' is that 97% of all MLM businesses will fail. The standard MLM marketing strategies are designed to focus in and push the 'greed' button of people with talk about financial security, accumulating assets and a lifestyle that is generally out of reach of the normal network marketer. In fact with these statistics it should be known as Must Lose Money - this is what most people end up doing.

The standard approach to multi level marketing is glossy brochures or videotapes which are obvious and a blatant appeal to your greed and dreams of making that million.

Here is a small list of strategies that are pushed upon the masses and will be pretty obvious to those diehard multi level marketers who have been there and struggled:

Become a Distributor or Rep - "You can earn a wholesale income by just retailing the product and residual income as you build your organisation.",

The product is so good it sells itself - "You just need to talk to people because everybody needs and wants this product.",

Mass marketing including newspaper, brochures, flyers - "Be consistent and do massive marketing day in day out, week in week out" - on the whole this is very expensive and time consuming.

Attend all meetings and seminars - generally aimed at 'motivating' you with hype and stories of success and enormous profit,

Qualifications to work your way up the ladder - "You just need to accumulate this many volumes, recruit this many people or sell this much, to get to the next level."

Don't forget this is supposed to be YOUR home based MLM business - isn't it?

Can you relate to this - I can, I've been there and done that.

However, the true perspective of your dream is not lost and you can truly market your MLM for little or no money - without conforming to the standard MLM strategies that have failed us up to this point.

Let me ask you a question "What is the most important asset in your business?"

Yes the answer is YOU, and yet, we generally fail ourselves by not having the mindset of a business owner and the skill set to genuinely operate a successful home based MLM business. Mastering the marketing industry with skills and techniques that truly work can be your saviour and rarely utilised within the MLM industry.

Remember, there is something in the quote "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, but teach a man to fish and he will eat for the rest of his life."

How to Succeed or Fail in MLM

How to Survive in MLM...and Succeed!

Can you make thousands monthly with mlm? Yes. Is it hard to do? Many people choose to make it hard.

Careful planning is absolutely essential before you start any MLM business. Using the right mlm business plan can determine your success or failure.

No matter whether you are representing a product or a service, it goes without saying, you need to have confidence that your company will deliver what it promises and that your upline sponsor can and is willing to help you achieve success before you start an mlm business.

Obviously a good first step before you start an mlm business is to try the products and/or services for yourself, and give them a genuine rating. Would you see yourself recommending them to your family and friends even if you were not getting any kind of benefit?

You dont want to be selling something that you know is of poor quality.

The next very important step is to find out just how successful your sponsor has been, and how willing they are to help you achieve success.

This is critical - if they are not interested in helping you, your work will be harder.

Actually, industry experts know that network marketing is more of a people business than it is a product or service business.

Ok, so now you think your ready to start your home business, and you are about to register.

WAIT!

Before you do, you need to be absolutely certain that you are registering under the right sponsor. Otherwise, you risk becoming yet another mlm orphan, trying to battle it out on your own. It is more important to have the right sponsor than to have the right downline. That being said, you shouldnt think that joining directly under the company or in the first 2 tiers will put you in good stead either. You are really looking for a sponsor who has a reasonable number in their downline and also has clearly demonstrated their willingness to help their downline also achieve success.

Far too many new mlmers have the mistaken belief that once they have signed up, the bonus checks will start rolling in. We have all seen the sites where people even scan in their bonus check on their sponsoring website in an attempt to lure you in to share in their riches. Dont be fooled. It takes a lot of hard work to start earning money, once you start an mlm business. That is why many people choose to work at a regular job. If you take the time to look into it though, an mlm business has some huge advantages over any regular job. (Just to name a few...tax advantages, residual income, travel, family time, no boss, no commute, an income that continues to grow, and so forth.)

Your goal should NOT be to just get anyone to sign up under you, but to build relationships with others and through those relationships you can then develop business partners. Why do I call them business partners? Simple. Their success adds to your success. It is then in your best interests to do everything you can to help them become successful. If they are successful, then so are you. Treating your downline enrolees as business partners will strengthen you relationships with them and teach them to do the same with their downline.

Ok, so now you are really ready to get started in your MLM business - right? Well, not quite. Take some time, and read everything you can about the company, its products/services and its success stories. Go to your library and check out some books on starting your own business. Just because it is network marketing doesnt mean you should treat it any different to running a traditional business. Not if you expect to create a six-figure income. Of course, it goes without saying, that you need to attend all company meetings & teleconferences - you will meet other marketers that will also pass on valuable tips to help you on your way.

In the last steps of preparation, you need to plan how much capital you have to start your MLM business. If the answer is $0, then chances are, you wont succeed. No, I am serious. You will find it very slow and difficult to build your business. You will need some capital for advertising. Simply creating a webpage wont bring you any business, you need people to see your webpage. If the opportunity is one that only costs $39 to get started...then people that join will not be very serious or committed. You should be very skeptical of those that are free or almost free to join. They usually do not bring in a significant income and fail quickly.

Of course, finding a few serious distributors to personally sponsor is absolutely critical to getting started. Your upline mentor should be willing to help you talk to your first few prospects, in person or on a three-way call. Unfortunately, only a few sponsors are committed as you might think that they are. It is all too common, to sponsor 10 or more people, before you find your first serious business partner (enrolee). Don't worry. That is ok. Percentages will only improve with practice. For now, you should concentrate on duplicating yourself just twice. Teach them to do the same. Eventually, youll be able to train and mentor more than two, but for the first six to twelve months, concentrate on quality, not quantity.

You will find that most people dont believe that they can "sell" and probably wouldnt even want to try. The word sell can be a scary word. Done right, it never feels like selling. You have to decide whether to "lead with the product" or "lead with the opportunity." If the person is interested in a health product for example, and you instead tell them of a business opportunity, they suspect that you want them to go out and "sell" to their friends and family. That is why many people fail in this industry. While selling is an important part of any successful network marketing experience, you might be more successful if the process took on a softer focus.

Think about your experiences to date. Could this be why you have trouble sponsoring? Your first impression is very important. Preconceived notions can build mental roadblocks that are difficult to overcome. If the prospect seems cold to the opportunity offer, many companies have a Preferred Customer program that is in between becoming a retail customer, and a full-fledged distributor. This may be a good place to start, and you can then work them into a business opportunity offer later, once they bond to your products.

Success in your mlm business requires proper direction, great products or services, making a serious commitment to a specified goal, following a proven plan of success, and then giving it at least 4 to 6 months of serious effort.

MLM Training - How One Person Sold One Billion Dollars Worth of Products

If you want to increase the profits in your MLM Business, a good starting place is to sell more product. There are hundreds of different "selling tactics" being taught, but I have always found this one specific approach to work like magic.

How in the world could ONE person sell a billion dollars worth of products? He knew his product...and he knew it well. The one thing that snagged my attention was how well he knew his product.

Which comes first? Knowledge of your product...or selling a billion dollars worth of it? Obviously knowledge of your product comes first.

This MLM training article is about the very important Communication Quality called, "Know what you're talking about."

The reason I mention this is because there is a group of characteristics an MLM business professional must possess in order to truly have success in speaking with customers and selling products.

I call these characteristics the 10 Communication Qualities. Once you're fully knowledgeable about these qualities and have the proper and correct MLM training to learn them, you will be amazed at how many prospects and customers will be interested in your MLM business and/or products.

I was watching a TV infomercial not long ago of a guy who was selling cutting knives. I became greatly impressed with the knowledge of the sales person. By the way he presented his knives I could tell he really knew everything one could know about knives.

I'll admit, in the beginning I was listening, trying to find a hole in what he was talking about.

The more I listened the more I could see and hear, "This man knows about knives!" There wasn't one part of a knife he didn't know about - and he demonstrated to me why he was right...and he discussed it so clearly that anyone could have understood it.

He did several demonstrations with his knives - everything from cutting a can in half to cutting other knives in half with his knife. He did everything without making me feel stupid for my lack of knowledge about knives. He did this without being too assertive (Communication Quality #4). In fact, the more I watched this man the more I realized he was using all 10 of the Communication Qualities.

Very rarely have I seen all the qualities in one person. Now, I didn't personally talk to him to see if he was "truly interested in me." But in the way he delivered his knowledge to me I could tell that he had researched everything about his knives. He explained what a good knife was, and then told where the largest cost is in a knife and why you (the listener) didn't need to have that in your kitchen knives. He gave a "no questions asked, money back guarantee." That certainly sounded like he was "interested" in me.

I bought the knives. The whole set.

Intrigued with his charisma, I started researching him. Ha! Guess what I found? He has sold over one billion dollars worth of goods! NOT through a downline of thousands of people...or a company with hundreds or thousands of stores...but he personally has sold a billion dollars worth of goods!

His name is Ron Popeil. His mother and father split up when he was three. Neither parent wanted him or his brother. So he grew up on the streets in the Bronx (a neighborhood in New York City). At 16, he visited his dad in Chicago and got a job working in a small kitchen appliance factory. One day walking home he walked past a place in Chicago called Maxwell Street. It was the equivalent of a dirty flea market today.

The main things sold on Maxwell Street were stolen goods - hub caps, steering wheels and car radios. As he watched the people selling their stolen goods and people buying them, he got an idea. The next day he bought some of the items from the appliance factory where he worked at wholesale (same price as a store would pay). He then went to Maxwell Street and sold them. As he describes it, "I had never been loved as a kid - I finally found love. It was with my customers. I made a connection with them."

He then found out about state and county fairs...and mastered those. He then volunteered to do live demonstrations inside of stores that carried the manufacturer's products. He mastered selling products live in stores. Then he went in front of cameras on television networks that sold products. You've probably heard his company name before; Ronco. He's the man who came up with, "It slices and dices..., but wait, that's not all...you'll also get...," and "If you order now you get absolutely FREE..."

To date, he has personally sold over one billion dollars worth of products.

You see, because he was the one working in the factory making those knives he KNEW HIS PRODUCT!

My whole interest in this was stimulated by his knowledge of knives. It was THIS quality of "know what you're talking about" that jumped out and grabbed my attention. When you know what you're talking about, prospects really admire it because your knowledge can help them get what they want.

Your downline will also greatly admire you if you know what you're talking about...and they will follow you. If you invent answers to their questions (instead of knowing what you're talking about) - they quickly learn you will say anything (truth or not) to get them to buy the product or sign up in your downline...and they won't.

This doesn't mean you have to work at a manufacturer to know all about the products you sell in your MLM business. It also doesn't mean you have to have a master's degree in nutrition to sell a nutrition product. The thing that impressed me the most was that Ron Popeil talked in such simple language that everyone could understand it.

He never tried to impress his audience with big words. He would say things like, "The steel this knife is made out of is tough - look how tough it is"...and then he would demonstrate it. He didn't try to explain the difference between anodizing (pronounced an'a-diz') and case hardening (two processes used to make steel hard and durable).

He instead would demonstrate for you what he wanted to communicate. It's the sign of a true communicator - to know everything about something, but to communicate it simply to make it very easy for the prospect to make a decision.

Be knowledgeable about your MLM business. Know everything there is to know about the products you sell. Then, when you find people who can benefit from your business and/or your products, you can confidently help them get what they want. It's this kind of knowledge that really pays you in network marketing.

MLM Training - Afraid of Talking to Prospects? Get Over it Fast With These Four Simple Tactics

It's very difficult to achieve real MLM success if you are afraid of talking to people about your business. Use these four guidelines to achieve confidence when talking with prospects. They've worked for thousands in my own MLM business. I know they'll work for you too.

Why do you have a "chicken list?" Because you fear you don't communicate easily or well.

A "chicken list" is a list of prospects that you're scared of calling. Often people think they will call their "chicken list" after they get successful. But, they need these people in their MLM business to create the success.

This is a "Catch 22."

The phrase "Catch 22" is from a novel by Joseph Heller, written in 1961, where a pilot who was afraid to fight in World War II feigned insanity. But the doctor he was feigning insanity to said that if he were truly insane then he wouldn't mind endangering his life by going into the war.

On the other hand, if he were sane, then he would be capable of following orders to fight the war. Thus the phrase "catch 22" came to mean, "a situation that trips one up no matter which way one turns."

So, you need the people on your chicken list to create the success that you feel you need in order to contact your chicken list. How do you get around this catch-22?

Typically, your fear is based on you feeling the people on the list are somehow above yourself because of their status. But if you were to examine this more closely you would discover that it's not that the people on your chicken list are any better than you, it's that you don't have confidence in your ability to communicate easily.

If you knew you could communicate easily and effectively without making any mistakes, you could...and would...call anyone without hesitation. You would have confidence. You would have certainty. And there's NOTHING more rewarding than having that feeling.

Communicate means: a. To convey information about; make known. b. To reveal clearly.

Easily means: a. Free from worry, anxiety, trouble, or pain. b. Requiring or exhibiting little effort.

The reason I bring this up is that there is a group of characteristics an MLM business professional must have in order to truly have success in speaking with prospects. I call these characteristics the 10 Communication Qualities.

Once you're fully knowledgeable about these qualities and have the proper and correct MLM training to learn them, you will be amazed at how much smoother conversations will go with your prospects.

The fifth communication quality on my list is to" "Communicate easily - no tension, strain, fakeness, sounding rehearsed, stuttering or hesitating."

Let's take up each one of these issues:

Tension & Strain: (The usage definition for tension and strain were very similar so they are combined here.)

a. To be subjected to great stress. b. A great or excessive pressure, demand, or stress on one's body, mind, or resources.

Tension and strain (while communicating) are stress that is created by the mental activity of feeling unprepared or that you will sound "stupid" to others. If you've ever been asked to suddenly speak in public you know what this mental activity feels like.

It creates a very uncomfortable feeling. It's a feeling of "being on the spot" and not knowing what to say. It is often the reason someone's voice "squeaks and quivers" while talking. Tension and strain communicates uncertainty to the prospect or "new to the subject" and unprofessional.

The solution to tension and strain is familiarizing yourself with all situations that can come up on a call when talking to prospects. Be familiar with all situations that come up regarding your MLM business opportunity and also the products you sell.

Also know what you're going to ask the prospect to do - invite for product or invite for business, send to a website or get on a conference call, etc. If you are very clear about what you're going to do and say, you will greatly reduce tension and strain.

Fakeness: a. To represent falsely; pretend to. b. To fabricate.

People sound fake when they use a lot of fluff words like, awesome, incredible, unbelievable, fabulous, wonderful, special, state-of-the-art, etc. These types of adjectives demonstrate a clear bias on your part. I'm not suggesting you be a boring communicator - by all means, be excited. But you don't have to use fluff or puff words to describe your excitement as they normally indicate a cover-up of real content.

Sounding rehearsed: a. One that is not authentic or genuine.

Rehearsing what you're going to say is NOT WRONG. However, if you talk with a prospect before you've rehearsed enough - you will sound rehearsed; which IS UNPROFESSIONAL. If you've received a phone call from a telemarketer and you could tell he was reading from a script, it probably didn't sound very genuine and as soon as you detected that he was reading from a script you wanted off the phone. That's what you want to avoid causing your prospect to feel about you.

Stuttering and hesitating: a. If you hesitate, you do not speak or act for a short time, usually because you are uncertain, embarrassed, or worried about what you are going to say or do.

Stuttering and hesitating loops us back to the first issue I discussed above which is Tension and Strain. See, it is the fear of saying or doing something the prospect won't agree with that causes us to hesitate and stutter. So the solution for stuttering and hesitating is similar to the solution for tension and strain - be very familiar with all the situations that can come up on your invite call.

I don't know if you've realized the simplicity of this yet, but your willingness to talk to your "chicken list" or lack thereof is based on your ability to communicate easily. And to communicate easily, you need to become familiar with all aspects of your MLM business and company.
